COVID-19: Practical Tips for Safe Fringing

Safety is Priority #1 at the Calgary Fringe, and we have set in place reasonable and practical steps to best protect the health and safety of all Calgary Fringe participants at all our events.

Below are some common-sense guidelines to Safe Fringing at the Calgary Fringe:

**WE ARE A MASK FRIENDLY FRINGE – while it is currently not a mandated requirement to wear a face mask while indoors, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask while sharing indoor space with your fellow patrons, we warmly invite you to do so. We are a mask friendly Fringe and looking to your own personal comfort and safety is of primary importance to us, so thank you for taking care of YOU!

**HAND SANITIZER WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL OF OUR VENUES – we also encourage participants to bring along their own. We will be regularly cleaning and sanitizing the washrooms, waiting room/lobbies, and seating areas within our indoor venues throughout.

**BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS – maintain a healthy distance, if you feel you need to, and be kind and considerate to those around you. Be respectful of each other’s personal space and boundaries and remember, we are all in this together!

**IF YOU ARE SICK, PLEASE STAY HOME – then email boxoffice@calgaryfringe to notify us that you are unable to attend. You have the option to convert your ticket(s) to either access the On Demand recording of the live show or re-allocate your ticket(s) to another performance date and time. If neither of these two options are available to you, we invite you to donate the price that you paid for your ticket(s) as a donation to the artist or you can collect a full refund. Staying home while sick not only means that you are taking care of yourself, you are also taking care of the rest of your community. And that’s a beautiful thing!

By participating at this Calgary Fringe event, you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to COVID-19, including exposure and contracting COVID-19. Further, you agree not to hold The Calgary International Fringe Festival Society of Calgary or the Calgary Fringe liable for any damages, loss, or injury related to COVID-19, including exposure to or the contracting of COVID-19.

Failure to comply with the event’s COVID-19 policies and/or other safety protocols and those of the City of Calgary and/or Alberta Health Services will result in a warning and/or removal from the event at the discretion of event organizers. Refunds will not be issued if removed from the event for failure to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols.
