“Because sometimes, the greatest friendships are forged from pastry and karaoke fails!” CARPOOL is a tragic-comic examination of race, gender, and identity in contemporary Canada. High gas prices force together two dissimilar co-workers, who live in the same neighbourhood but are miles apart in their conceptions of what it means to be a successful woman. In their discussions of office politics, visible and invisible minorities, and what "demon sex" would actually entail, the two find common ground (along with the best egg tarts in Calgary).
