How to Save the World from a Bus to Thunder Bay

General Audience (Age 12+)

When their bus hits a pothole on Highway 11, Dylan, Willowby, and the Driver think it's the worst of their problems. But when unexpected visitors appear from above, they realize they might not make it to Thunder Bay after all. Through an explosive and extinctive threat, the three of them are forced to ask: can stories save the world? If not, then what will?

Inspired by science-fiction tropes, slow-moving bureaucracy, and Roland Emmerich’s 1990 film Independence Day, this play offers a hilarious, off-beat, and moving exploration of why we tell stories, when to take action, and how to keep trying.

Playwright: Kat Arifin
Director: Logan Sundquist
Stage Manager: Gian Dayrit
Sound Designer: Juno Fairweather
Composer: Maya Whitbread
Poster Designer: Mia Gilje

Featuring: Gabriela Kim, Devin Kotani, Kassandra Price, Nikhat Saheb, Nick Wickstrom

Learning to Count Past 100

General Audience (Age 14+)

Forget Dinosaur Kids, Train Kids, or Bug Kids — Rowen was a Math Kid obsessed with facts and figures. Because when people are hard, numbers are easy. Right? RIGHT?!

Yeah, not so much. Now Rowen’s an adult and she can’t seem to stop counting, even if it gets in the way of, well, everything. But when an unassuming baking session stirs up a meteor shower of memories, this Not-Quite-Reformed-Math-Kid must take on childhood demons and venture beyond her calculated world.

An off-beat dramedy from award-winning Levity Theatre about the hell that is other people, ourselves, and growing up. Or trying to.

Playwright/Producer: Eve Beauchamp
Director: Madeleine Taylor-Gregg
Stage Manager: Sarah Innes
Cast: Keith Boniol and Maysan Kawash

Orbiting: “Close enough to see you, but far enough to never talk.” Ever spent a night negotiating with a closed bedroom door, hunting for verbal contact and praying for a sign of life from your teenager? As moms, we spend half our lives shouting into the void, hoping our love and advice somehow breaches the perimeter. Pull up a chair, pour a glass, laugh, cry, and journey into the chaotic world of Gen Z motherhood. You are definitely not alone in the atmosphere.
