Madison’s baby shower was supposed to be calm, classy, and chaos-free. Instead, she’s dodging her drunk best friend, bickering aunts, an intrusive neighbour, and an unexpected stripper. As uninvited guests arrive, her hopes for the party unravel faster than the streamers. Between baby games gone wrong, family secrets flying like confetti, and spilled drinks, Madison hits her breaking point. But in the aftermath of the chaos, fallen cake, torn streamers, and emotional meltdowns, Madison’s unconventional tribe pulls together. No amount of planning can prepare her for motherhood but sometimes the messiest moments make the best memories.

This double bill is rooted in roadside culture, truck stops, diners, and long-haul travellers.
Mudflap Girl
In 1971, an iconic image of a silhouetted woman
started appearing on truck mudflaps. Mudflap Girl has at different times
been considered a reflection of male self-image, symbolic of declining
family values, and a feminist figure. What is her story? And most
mysteriously, who is she?

different eras of sex work have a moment of shared recognition. They
have all worked to be seen, but have struggled to be visible.

A soul travels down to Earth and is split by the Infinite Shadow. Soul needs to find their other half in order to manifest the soul mission of the Changeover - Limitless Light taking over the Infinite Shadow. Infinite Shadow keeps trying to prevent this from happening, using the Trauma Spirit and Soul Consuming Succubi to prevent this. The unborn child soul, spirit guides, past lives are all guides for the souls to connect. The Souls connect through music, orgasm, ecstatic movement, and the Divine Cord slowly magnetizing towards each other. However, will they meet, or will the Infinite Shadow keep them forever-isolated and forever-drained by the Trauma Spirit and Soul Consuming Succubi?
Weaving together live music loops, poetic sound art pieces, video art projections, ecstatic movement and storytelling, this is an epic romantic spiritual fairy tale that is a holy, unique, awe inspiring and moving theatrical experience.

When their bus hits a pothole on Highway 11, Dylan, Willowby, and the
Driver think it's the worst of their problems. But when unexpected
visitors appear from above, they realize they might not make it to
Thunder Bay after all. Through an explosive and extinctive threat, the
three of them are forced to ask: can stories save the world? If not,
then what will?
Inspired by science-fiction tropes, slow-moving bureaucracy, and Roland Emmerich’s 1990 film Independence Day, this play offers a hilarious, off-beat, and moving exploration of why we tell stories, when to take action, and how to keep trying.

A three character, one clown, solo storytelling show. They reveal their truest self along with a fair bit of self-consciousness, self-awareness, self-centeredness, and self-flagellation. You’re in for a touch of psychotic clown with a lot of raw vulnerability that we need.
The storytellers each have their own version of the truth, it’s up to you to decipher what is real and what’s not. You will witness the journey to self fulfillment from four distinctly different people tied together in the most curious ways. They’re only vaguely aware of their own outcome, but no matter what they do Juice is inevitable.

All at once, Jack Bennet got dumped, fired, and evicted, and, worst of all, his beloved dog died. All he’s got now is a truck and a chainsaw. He decides to leave Alberta and flee north, really far north, into the Yukon. There he finds a new purpose in starting his own wood harvesting business. Join Jack around the fire as he tells his story of finding community in unlikely places and connecting with his home and heritage in an unconventional way.
This new one-hour play — written, produced, and starring Métis theatre artist Colin Wolf — features storytelling, comedy, a chainsaw (or two!), and just enough therapy to hold the good ship Jack Bennet together.

Cash prizes!
First place gets $100 || Second place gets $50
Show up at 9:30pm to put your name into a draw for the chance to compete!
SLAM FAQS:
What is a poetry slam?
Slam poetry is a type of competition where people read their poems without props, costumes, or music. After performing, they receive scores (0-10) from randomly selected judges. The judges can be anyone: they don’t even need to be poets! Scores are awarded based on how much each judge likes a poem. The purpose of this judging process is to make poetry participatory for everyone. Slam poetry doesn’t need to be a specific form of poetry.
What do I need to bring?
• $22 entrance fee (can purchase tickets ahead of time online or pay at
the door. Both cash and card payments accepted.)
• 2 poems, each less
than 3 minutes.
• Friends! The bigger the audience, the better the
show!
What are the rules?
• No props, no costumes, no animal acts, no nudity.
• No booing.
•
Keep your poem under 3 minutes and 10 seconds or you'll lose points.
CONTENT WARNING: poetry slams often deal with hard topics such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, grief and death, social issues, etc.
Ticket sale proceeds goes to the Writers Guild of Alberta and the Calgary Poetry Slam.

After a decade away Ashton’s beloved Austen musical returns, sparkling as ever. Join Elspeth as she battles literary snobbery, cousin Horatio’s digestions and her mother’s nerves, armed only with a blushing countenance, excellent ukulele skills and being quite bright… for a girl. In the far distant past of 2010, a Christian boy from Northern Ontario fell in love with a handsome mischievous boy from Virginia. Fifteen years later they're sharing a hostel in DC when nature calls and while entrapped on the toilet, he reflects upon the history that lead them from lovers, to enemies to friends… and maybe back again? But in such a small space, will one bodily function be enough to shatter whatever romance they have left?
A story of love, loss, lust and lower intestines- the $#!T bares all and shows that sometimes the ones who stick around can be the ones you least expect.

Alice’s surreal adventure in Wonderland takes a darker twist when the whimsical characters she meets begin to turn the tables, casting Alice as the villain in this chaotic adventure. Alice's actions come under scrutiny in a bizarre interrogation by Wonderland’s inhabitants, blending the absurd with the sinister. The story explores themes of identity, perception, and the consequences of one's actions.
Strawberry Pie
At an all night diner, three women from
different eras of sex work have a moment of shared recognition. They
have all worked to be seen, but have struggled to be visible.

• No props, no costumes, no animal acts, no nudity.
• No booing.
•
Keep your poem under 3 minutes and 10 seconds or you'll lose points.
