Her whispers were always there

Mature Content (Age 17+)

A soul travels down to Earth and is split by the Infinite Shadow. Soul needs to find their other half in order to manifest the soul mission of the Changeover - Limitless Light taking over the Infinite Shadow. Infinite Shadow keeps trying to prevent this from happening, using the Trauma Spirit and Soul Consuming Succubi to prevent this. The unborn child soul, spirit guides, past lives are all guides for the souls to connect. The Souls connect through music, orgasm, ecstatic movement, and the Divine Cord slowly magnetizing towards each other. However, will they meet, or will the Infinite Shadow keep them forever-isolated and forever-drained by the Trauma Spirit and Soul Consuming Succubi?

Weaving together live music loops, poetic sound art pieces, video art projections, ecstatic movement and storytelling, this is an epic romantic spiritual fairy tale that is a holy, unique, awe inspiring and moving theatrical experience.

How to Save the World from a Bus to Thunder Bay

General Audience (Age 12+)

When their bus hits a pothole on Highway 11, Dylan, Willowby, and the Driver think it's the worst of their problems. But when unexpected visitors appear from above, they realize they might not make it to Thunder Bay after all. Through an explosive and extinctive threat, the three of them are forced to ask: can stories save the world? If not, then what will?

Inspired by science-fiction tropes, slow-moving bureaucracy, and Roland Emmerich’s 1990 film Independence Day, this play offers a hilarious, off-beat, and moving exploration of why we tell stories, when to take action, and how to keep trying.

John Jack Josie - JUICE

Mature Content (Age 14+)

A three character, one clown, solo storytelling show. They reveal their truest self along with a fair bit of self-consciousness, self-awareness, self-centeredness, and self-flagellation. You’re in for a touch of psychotic clown with a lot of raw vulnerability that we need.

The storytellers each have their own version of the truth, it’s up to you to decipher what is real and what’s not. You will witness the journey to self fulfillment from four distinctly different people tied together in the most curious ways. They’re only vaguely aware of their own outcome, but no matter what they do Juice is inevitable.

Lumber

General Audience (Age 15+)

SLAM FAQS:

What is a poetry slam?

Slam poetry is a type of competition where people read their poems without props, costumes, or music. After performing, they receive scores (0-10) from randomly selected judges. The judges can be anyone: they don’t even need to be poets! Scores are awarded based on how much each judge likes a poem. The purpose of this judging process is to make poetry participatory for everyone. Slam poetry doesn’t need to be a specific form of poetry.

What do I need to bring?

• $22 entrance fee (can purchase tickets ahead of time online or pay at the door. Both cash and card payments accepted.)
• 2 poems, each less than 3 minutes.
• Friends! The bigger the audience, the better the show!

What are the rules?

• No props, no costumes, no animal acts, no nudity.
• No booing.
• Keep your poem under 3 minutes and 10 seconds or you'll lose points.

CONTENT WARNING: poetry slams often deal with hard topics such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, grief and death, social issues, etc.

Ticket sale proceeds goes to the Writers Guild of Alberta and the Calgary Poetry Slam.

The $#!T

Mature Content (Age 14+)

In the far distant past of 2010, a Christian boy from Northern Ontario fell in love with a handsome mischievous boy from Virginia. Fifteen years later they're sharing a hostel in DC when nature calls and while entrapped on the toilet, he reflects upon the history that lead them from lovers, to enemies to friends… and maybe back again? But in such a small space, will one bodily function be enough to shatter whatever romance they have left?

A story of love, loss, lust and lower intestines- the $#!T bares all and shows that sometimes the ones who stick around can be the ones you least expect.

• 2 poems, each less than 3 minutes.
• Friends! The bigger the audience, the better the show!

• No booing.
• Keep your poem under 3 minutes and 10 seconds or you'll lose points.

CONTENT WARNING: poetry slams often deal with hard topics such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, grief and death, social issues, etc.

Fifteen years later they're sharing a hostel in DC when nature calls and while entrapped on the toilet, he reflects upon the history that lead them from lovers, to enemies to friends… and maybe back again?
